No. 3 Baylor removed its starters from Saturday’s game after two quarters and still increased its halftime lead over Kansas to 66-7 before the game’s end.
Backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham completed all seven passes he attempted in the third quarter, including a pair of touchdowns throws. In the fourth quarter the Bears let off the gas, throwing only three times in the final 15 minutes.
Baylor finished with 644 yards of offense. Starting quarterback Seth Russell was 18-for-27 passing with 246 yards and three touchdowns. Shock Linwood led the Bears with 135 rushing yards and a score on 13 carries, and Corey Coleman amassed 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns on seven catches.
