One and done a year ago, Kansas will stick around the Sprint Center for more than a single appearance in the Big 12 Tournament this postseason.
Malik Newman scored a career-high 30 points, Svi Mykhailiuk 13, Lagerald Vick 11 and Devonté Graham 10 (with nine assists) as the Jayhawks (25-7) overcame the absence of injured soph big Udoka Azubuike and defeated Oklahoma State 82-68 on Thursday afternoon in a Big 12 quarterfinal at the Sprint Center.
The victory, which propels KU into Friday’s 6 p.m. semifinal against No. 4 seed Kansas State, came just five days after OSU’s 18-point victory over KU in Stillwater, Okla.
