Former Kansas football coach Mark Mangino will be returning to Lawrence as part of a celebration for the 2007-08 Orange Bowl team.
Mangino, who went 50-48 in eight seasons at KU, will be individually added to the school’s Hall of Fame on Sept. 2 before the Kansas football team’s season opener against Southeast Missouri State. KU also will be inducting the 2007-08 team then while individually honoring cornerback Aqib Talib and offensive lineman Anthony Collins, who will be added to the Ring of Honor on the north end of Memorial Stadium.
The 2007-08 Jayhawks finished 12-1 with an Orange Bowl victory over Virginia Tech.
