The No. 15 Washburn volleyball team responded well to a first-set loss Saturday, rebounding to down Missouri Western 16-25, 25-20, 25-17, 25-17 at Lee Arena.

WU SOCCER FALLS ON LATE GOAL:The Washburn soccer team wasted a strong effort from Presley Wiggins in a 3-2 loss Saturday at Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, Mo. Wiggins became the first player for the Ichabods (3-7-3, 2-4-1 MIAA) in more than two years to score a pair of goals in one game, but the Bearcats scored a goal at 84:57 to break a tie and earn the victory.
