The path of Kansas Jayhawks quarterback Michael Cummings continues to be bumpy. In the team’s spring game this past weekend, the junior injured his knee and was helped off the field despite wearing a red non-contact jersey. Earlier today, it was reported on Jayhawk Slant that Cummings would require surgery.
Head coach David Beaty elaborated on the state of the injury as well as the play on which it occurred.
“Michael sustained a left knee injury that is going to require surgery. Following his surgery he will work diligently, alongside our medical staff, to get back to the field as quickly as possible.
