A Lawrence native, Endacott played for the Jayhawks from 1919-1923. He won back to back national titles in 1922 and 1923, and was named national player of the year in 1923.
In 1944 Endacott was named as one of the top 10 college basketball players ever, and Phog Allen said he was the best player he ever coached.
Endacott personifies the challenges with putting together a list like this, and where to rank players of his era. Because he played in the 1920s, stats are sparse, unreliable, and frankly fairly pointless given how few points were scored.
