The Brandon Schneider era at Kansas will officially open Nov. 15 with a home game against Texas Southern, as the KU women’s basketball team announced its full schedule Friday morning.
A more emotional game for the first-year coach might come the week before. On Nov. 8, KU will play its second exhibition contest against Emporia State — the same school Schneider coached for 12 seasons from 1998-2010. The Hornets’ current coach, Jory Collins, also was a longtime assistant under Schneider at ESU.
KU opens Big 12 play at Oklahoma on Dec. 30, with Senior Day scheduled for Feb.
