LAWRENCE — For the second time in three games, Kansas faced a tough matchup against a top-10 team. First Baylor, and then Texas.
The No. 4 Longhorns trounced the Jayhawks 75-38 Wednesday at Allen Fieldhouse. It was the Jayhawks’ largest margin of defeat this season. It was the Longhorns’ 16th straight win to start the season and KU’s seventh consecutive loss. It was also the Jayhawks’ fifth straight game in which they failed to score 50 points.
KU’s biggest area of concern was turnovers. The Jayhawks committed 21 turnovers that led to 30 points for the Longhorns (16-0, 5-0 Big 12).
