Danny Greene could not believe what he was hearing.
Just a few hours later, he would put his daughter and son-in-law in the same position.
Greene, a 66-year-old Topekan, is the winner of The Topeka Capital-Journal’s giveaway of two tickets to No. 4 Kansas’ basketball game against No. 20 Kentucky on Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse. An avid Jayhawks fan, Greene said he was “thrilled” to learn he’d have prime seats to the matchup of college hoops bluebloods.
But it didn’t take him long to think of another pair who would enjoy the thrill even more: his son-in-law, Clark Boatright, and daughter Meghann.
