The KU basketball program is preparing to move its exhibition opener against Pittsburg State to avoid a potential conflict with Game 7 of the World Series in Kansas City.
KU officials announced Friday that the first basketball exhibition game, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Allen Fieldhouse, will be pushed back to 7 p.m. Thursday should the World Series return to Kansas City for Game 6 on Tuesday.
If the series were to end on Tuesday, the exhibition game would still be played on Thursday, to allow Pittsburg State advance notice.
