Kansas has found its next women’s basketball coach.
Brandon Schneider, the head coach at Stephen F. Austin and a former head coach at Emporia State, is set to become the next women’s coach at KU, the school announced on Monday afternoon.
When he is introduced at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Schneider will replace former KU coach Bonnie Henrickson, who was fired last month after 11 seasons at Kansas.
“Brandon is an excellent fit for the University of Kansas,” KU athletic director Sheahon Zenger said in a statement. “He is an exceptional teacher, and someone who has spent his entire career in Kansas and Texas.
