LAWRENCE — Carlton Bragg made it a point to raise his game Wednesday.
You see, he didn’t want a certain former Kansas Jayhawk and current NBA player to show him up during the Red-Blue scrimmage at Horejsi Family Athletics Center.
“I seen Ben McLemore here so I had to step up to the competition, you know?” Bragg said. “I loved it. I loved the kids, too.”
The 6-foot-9, 225-pound forward and McLemore were teammates for the Red team, which fell 92-91 to the Blue team on a layup by Wayne Selden. But from start to finish, it was Bragg and McLemore who put on quite a show.
