KU football hires Todd Bradford as linebackers coach

The Capital-Journal

LAWRENCE — Kansas coach David Beaty filled the final vacancy on his coaching staff by hiring Todd Bradford as linebackers coach.

Bradford, who most recently was Maryland's defensive coordinator in 2012, replaces Kevin Kane, who left KU to take the defensive coordinator position at Northern Illinois.

"I want our staff to consist of men who can get after it in recruiting and at the same time develop the players in our program," Beaty said, "and Todd definitely fits that mold."

Bradford, who has 25 years of college coaching experience, previously was defensive coordinator at Southern Miss (2008-10) and linebackers coach at Oklahoma State (2005-07).
