The Kansas football team — already struggling to compete — has received additional bad news regarding its quarterback injuries.
Junior quarterback Deondre Ford will miss the remainder of the 2015 season with torn ligaments in his right thumb, KU announced Monday. Also, Montell Cozart is “out indefinitely” with a left shoulder sprain and will miss Saturday’s Baylor game before getting a re-evaluation next week.
It leaves KU thin at the game’s most important position. True freshman Ryan Willis is No. 1 on the depth chart, followed by T.J. Millweard and walk-on Kenny Perry.
Willis completed 8 of 16 passes for 100 yards Saturday against Iowa State.
