AMES, Iowa — Even if Iowa State is the second-worst team in the Big 12, it's still much better than Kansas.
That much was proven Saturday as the Cyclones overwhelmed the Jayhawks in a 38-13 victory on Saturday afternoon at Jack Trice Stadium.
ISU racked up its most yards per play (6.9) since 2008. Rusher Mike Warren also carried it 18 times for 175 yards, putting up the most rushing yardage for a Cyclone since 2006.
KU's offense never got going, either. The Jayhawks mustered just six points on their own (seven came from an 83-yard pick-six from linebacker Marcquis Roberts) while managing just 4.
