LAWRENCE — The Kansas football team — already depleted by offseason departures — had another player leave the program Thursday.
Defensive lineman Andrew Bolton, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound senior defensive lineman, is no longer with the program, according to a KU spokesperson.
Bolton, a junior-college transfer from Hinds Community College in Raymond, Miss., posted 16 tackles, 3.5 tackles-for-loss and 1.5 sacks a year ago as a rotation player on the Jayhawks' defensive line. He was expected to be a starter this season.
It's just the latest in a string of lost players for the KU football program.
