Mitch Lightfoot insists motivation will not be a problem for Kansas’ Big 12 champion basketball team Saturday at seventh-place Oklahoma State.
“I think we have a lot to play for,” Lightfoot, KU’s sophomore power forward from Gilbert, Ariz., said in advance of a 3 p.m. contest at Gallagher-Iba Arena between the No. 6-ranked Jayhawks (24-6, 13-4) and unrated Cowboys (17-13, 7-10). It will be shown live on ESPN.
“We haven’t lost a series with a different team so far since Coach (Bill) Self has been here. We don’t plan on being the team to do it.”
