KU ends football season at 1-11, Zenger says Beaty will continue as coach

Football season is over for the Kansas Jayhawks.

The Jayhawks ended their campaign Saturday with a 58-17 loss to No. 19 Oklahoma State at Boone Pickens Stadium, continuing KU’s 11-game losing streak.

After the game, Kansas athletic director Sheahon Zenger issued a statement in support of Jayhawks coach David Beaty, who is 3-33 in three seasons in Lawrence.

“As I said several weeks ago, Coach Beaty and I have been evaluating the program throughout the season and will continue to do so now that the season has concluded. While we know the results of this season are not acceptable, the rebuilding of this program is a process, and Coach Beaty will continue to lead us through it,” Zenger said.
