MANHATTAN — Momentum can come and go quickly, and Kansas State had things going its way with a strong second set to even the volleyball match against Kansas.
The break between sets didn’t throw the Wildcats completely off their game, but it did allow the No. 9 Jayhawks to regroup and come back strong for a 3-1 victory (25-22, 25-27, 25-15, 25-16) on Wednesday at Ahearn Fieldhouse.
“It’s difficult, but we needed it at that point,” K-State coach Suzie Fritz set of the set break. “After a tough, long second set I felt like the break was positive coming out of it.
