The Jayhawks used runs of 20-0, 14-0, 12-0 and 10-0 to run away with its second of four exhibition contests in Italy, earning a 92-61 victory over Players Group on Thursday at Honey Sport City in Rome.
Trailing 9-8 early in the first quarter, a pair of Lagerald Vick 3-pointers kick-started the decisive 20-0 stretch, with Vick scoring eight of the team’s first 10 points in the rally. Marcus Garrett pitched in seven points in the run, while Charlie Moore capped it with a 3 that made the score 28-9 in favor of the visitors.
