LAWRENCE — When Lagerald Vick came to Kansas, the potential for him to become a great shooter was evident. But while working with assistant coach Kurtis Townsend, Vick discovered a flaw in his form that needed to be corrected.
"I used to shoot with my elbow out," Vick said. "He just told me to keep the elbow in."
Vick made the tweak and reaped the benefits as a freshman. He shot 47.1 percent on 3-pointers, even if that was only on 17 attempts.
Now, his role has changed. After a summer of shooting 1,000 jumpers a day, plus the departures of Wayne Selden and Brannen Greene, he's likely to see more time on the court.
