MANHATTAN – Television programmers got it right on the start times for the major-college football staged Saturday in the state of Kansas.
With visitors ranked No. 2 and 3 nationally, slotting was important, yet simple, for Fox Sports.
The day game – a dull, predictable mismatch – was something virtually no one wanted to see. On television. In person. Didn’t matter. No. 3 Baylor drubbed Kansas 66-7 in Memorial Stadium.
The nightcap -- an entertaining, unpredictable shootout – was something people who were not in attendance may claim to have seen. But then, the television production, with Big Fox on the call, was a pretty good alternative.
