LUBBOCK, Texas — As the Kansas men’s basketball team carved another notch in its belt Saturday with an overtime win over No. 20 Kentucky, the Kansas women’s basketball team lost its 10th straight Big 12 game, falling 54-44 at Texas Tech.
The Jayhawks (5-16, 0-10) struggled to score throughout the game, converting on just 31 percent of their field goal attempts. Four of Kansas’ starters — Caelynn Manning-Allen, Lauren Aldridge, Aisia Robertson and Kylee Kopatich — were a combined 6 for 34 from the floor (17.6 percent) and accounted for only 18 points.
“Texas Tech went triangle-and-two and we had to review what we really wanted to do against that,” Kansas coach Brandon Schneider stated in a news release after the game.
