The Kansas women rallied in the second half to defeat NCAA Division II No. 1 Emporia State 68-57 in an exhibition game on Sunday in Lawrence.
Emporia State led by as much as 11 several times in the first half, but a four-minute scoring drought in the second quarter allowed Kansas to cut the Hornets’ lead to 36-35 at halftime.
Nine turnovers in the third quarter led to a 54-48 lead for Kansas, and another four-minute scoring drought in the fourth quarter by Emporia State sealed the win for Kansas.
Lauren Aldridge led Kansas with 18 points and seven assists.
