This was a game we were looking forward to all week and boy did it not disappoint. The Kansas Jayhawks knocked out the UConn Huskies 69-65 in a tense thriller Friday night. KJ Adams scored 18 points, including 6 for 9 from the line, to secure the win for Kansas. Kevin McCullar Jr led Kansas with 21 points and 5 rebounds.
UConn guard, Tristen Newton, was a thorn in KU’s side all night scoring 31 points including way too many off balance shots at the buzzer which somehow went in. Kansas stepped up the defensive pressure late in the second half to slow down the Husky offense.
