Kansas outlasts Kentucky 90-84 in overtime

Basketball’s 13 original rules authored by James Naismith were put on display in a midcourt ceremony at halftime of the Kansas-Kentucky game.

The unofficial 14th rule, Kansas doesn’t lose at home, was maintained Saturday.

The fourth-ranked Jayhawks, who trailed No. 20 Kentucky for most of the second half, sent the game to overtime and won it there, 90-84 in a raucous Allen Fieldhouse.

Wayne Selden came up big at the end of regulation and in the extra period to extend the Jayhawks home floor winning streak to 35 games, the fourth longest in program history.
