It was a tough game, and the Kansas Jayhawks were unable to keep control in a heartbreaking 3-2 loss to Fairfield in the final game of pool play in the ACHA Division 3 National Tournament.
The action was back and forth in the first period, with the Kansas offense pushing the pace and just unable to find the back of the net. Fairfield Goalie Lanni made several spectacular saves, and Kansas was unable to turn a late power play opportunity into a goal.
Early in the second period, Kansas finally got one in, as Brad Glass tipped in the rebound of a shot from Dawson Engle to start the scoring.
