Kansas is the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Jayhawks, the top seed in the South Region, were joined by North Carolina (East), Virginia (Midwest) and Oregon (West) as No. 1 seeds.
The Jayhawks open the tournament in Des Moines, Iowa, and will play No. 16 seed Austin Peay in the first round Thursday. If KU wins, it’s second-round game would be against either No. 8 seed Colorado or No. 9 seed Connecticut on Saturday in Des Moines. If the Jayhawks advance, they would play Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games in Louisville, Ky.
The Final Four is in Houston.
