It was a great night for anyone involved in Kansas football. The Jayhawks won their first Big 12 game of the year in dramatic fashion, as kicker Liam Jones nailed a 32-yard field goal to give Kansas the win as time expired.
The crazy thing is that the field goal was actually Jones’ second attempt in a row. The initial field goal attempt was blocked and picked up by Texas Tech. Then, Red Raider Douglas Coleman III fumbled the ball BACK TO KANSAS, with two seconds remaining in the game.
This time, Jones would be kicking a 32-yard field goal to try and put the game away…
How’s that for an ending?
