Kansas football alum Steven Sims Jr. is exceeding NFL expectations

After going undrafted, Kansas football alum Steven Sims Jr. signed with the Washington Redskins in 2019. Sims made the final roster, and Washington has to be glad they decided on Sims based on his rookie year production so far.

Yesterday against the Giants, Sims recorded six receptions, 64 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. The Redskins would fall to the Giants at home in an overtime loss 35-41, but Sims’ big game is further proof that the former Jayhawk has what it takes to make it in the NFL.

His two-touchdown game yesterday brought Sims’ total up to five this season, as Sims has become an extremely versatile asset for the Redskins.
