By the time I reach the end of this sentence, I will have already written more about this game than it deserves.
In what an early 2000s Big Ten fan might call an "offensive explosion," Kansas led for much of this one. Unfortunately, they could never extend the lead past six, and it was generally a one or two possession game. Dedric Lawson did not get a bucket until just under six minutes to go in the first, and the Jayhawks went 0-6 from three in the half, leading to a 23-23 tie going into the break.
At several points in the second half, Kansas looked like they might blow it open.
