Kansas guard Devonte’ Graham will miss the World University Games after suffering a partially torn quad tendon, Bill Self confirmed to The Star on Thursday night.
Graham, a 6-foot-2 sophomore, suffered the injury during practice this week. According to Self, an MRI revealed a partial tear in the tendon above the knee. Graham will be out approximately three weeks before he can return to physical activity. The injury won’t require surgery, Self said, but Graham will have to sit out the World University Games, where KU is representing the United States beginning July 3 in Gwangju, South Korea.
