Kansas completed a two-game sweep of teams from the Cornhusker State on Monday night, clobbering Omaha 109-64 just two days after a narrow, one-point victory over Nebraska in Lincoln.
The 14th-ranked Jayhawks (9-2), who needed a block from Udoka Azubuike on Nebraska’s last possession to preserve a 73-72 victory Saturday over the Big Ten’s Cornhuskers, rolled to a 55-29 lead at halftime over the Mavericks (3-11), a Summit League team that entered as 33 1/2 -point underdogs.
Svi Mykhailiuk, who hit the game-winning three-point basket in Lincoln, exploded for 26 points Monday, one off a career high.
