On March 7, Jayhawk fans learned the bad news that the Kansas basketball team’s beloved 7-foot center was injured again. On that Wednesday afternoon, nobody knew for sure how serious Udoka Azubuike’s knee sprain was. The first report indicated a minor knee sprain. It didn’t matter. Dok was out for the Big 12 Tournament. How would the team play without him?
More important, how would Dok handle another injury. After missing the majority of his freshman season with a wrist injury, was he mentally able to handle the disappointment? The Kansas basketball training, medical staff is outstanding but all fans felt bad for Dok.
