After a season-opening loss to Duke, Kansas basketball has been on a roll winning seven in a row by nearly 21 points. The only close contest was the Maui Invitational championship overtime victory over Dayton.
With games against ranked Villanova and conference games that consistently produce close games, Kansas basketball has one area that needs serious attention. Despite being the third-best field goal shooting team in the country at .523, their free throw percentage is an abysmal .665. That ranks them #259 in the nation for Division I schools.
The Jayhawks do not rely on the charity strip for a major part of their offense as they are tied with several other teams in shooting only the 115th most free throws in the country.
