Kansas basketball fans who follow the NBA know that Frank Mason is doing just what we expected. He’s playing just the way he did during four years for Hall of Fame coach Bill Self. Earlier this month, Colin Ward-Henninger more than praised Mason. He called him the best rookie on the Sacramento Kings.
As a matter of fact, it was not quite a year ago that Mason faced off against his current rookie teammate De’Aaron Fox. Mason led the Jayhawks to victory over Fox and the Cat’s in Lexington. The Kings selected Fox ahead of Mason but Henninger says Mason is a better player right now.
