For the second straight season, the Texas Gatorade Player of the Year will play for Kansas Basketball. Marcus Garrett has distinguished himself for Hall of Fame coach Bill Self this season. On Thursday Jayhawk commit Quentin Grimes learned he is the 2018 honoree. The Jayhawks are winning the recruiting battle and getting the top talent from the Lone Star State.
Grimes who played for College Park High in The Woodlands community of the Houston metro area certainly deserved all the attention. As a matter of fact, Grimes is one of three Jayhawk commits named to the McDonalds All-America Team.
