Kansas forward Perry Ellis is expected to return to practice Monday after getting scratched in the eye by teammate Wayne Selden late in KU’s 72-63 victory over Kansas State on Saturday.
Coach Bill Self released a statement Sunday saying Ellis met with an ophthalmologist and was given a positive report.
“It is a scratch and it should heal up in a couple of days,” Self said.
Self also reported that Ellis’ head injury was “fine.” The senior received 12 stitches after gashing the back side of his head at the 12:15 mark of the second half.
