KU enters the contest at 21-8, ranked #12 in the latest AP Poll. USC, meanwhile, is 23-7 and ranked at #24. However, KenPom has the Jayhawks at #18, but the Trojans in the top-10 at #8.
Kansas and USC have met just twice in program history (since 1950), with USC taking an 89-83 decision in December 1978 and KU taking a 59-55 affair in December 2007.
The Jayhawks are coming off a 93-84 win over 14-seed Eastern Washington in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, while the Trojans knocked off 11-seed Drake by a 72-56 score.
