KU and St. Joe’s square off in Florida in the second game of the Fort Myers tipoff. Both teams come into this matchup after falling in their season openers yesterday.
Kansas enters the contest with a ranking of #6 by the AP, while St. Joe’s comes in unranked. KenPom has SJU at #161 and KU at #6. SJU was picked to finish 12th in the 14-team Atlantic-10 by the media this year.
The Jayhawks and Hawks have met seven times previously, with KU having a 5-2 edge. The most recent meeting was a 70-67 St. Joe’s win in December of 2005 at Madison Square Garden.
