How many millions did the Final Four teams spend on their basketball programs? | The Wichita Eagle

Millions of dollars have been spent on all four teams — Kansas, Villanova, Michigan and Loyola — in the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament.

In total, the four teams spent a combined $33.87 million on men's basketball between July 2016 and June 2017, according to the latest reports from the Department of Education Equity in Athletics. All institutions that receive Title IV funding and that have an intercollegiate athletics program are required to submit their expenses to the athletics database.

About $8.31 million separate the two teams — KU and Loyola — with the highest and lowest men's basketball expenses.
