Kansas’ defense of its No. 1 ranking got more challenging Tuesday night at West Virginia.
The Jayhawks, 14-1 and 3-0 in the Big 12, trail 37-29 at halftime against No. 11 West Virginia, also 14-1 and 3-0, in Morgantown, W.Va. The Jayhawks committed 12 turnovers against the West Virginia press. KU guards Wayne Selden and Devonte’ Graham each committed two fouls as West Virginia shot 15 for 19 from the free-throw line.
Perry Ellis leads KU with 11 points off 5 for 7 shooting from the field. KU is shooting 4 for 11 from three-point range. Selden and Graham each have two threes.
