LAWRENCE — Kyle Clemons’ Olympic gold medal has an unorthodox home at the moment.
“Really I’ve had it pretty much in my glove compartment box in my car,” Clemons said with a laugh. “Wherever I go, if someone wants to see it, I don’t want to go back home.”
Clemons, who ran on the Kansas track team from 2010-13, returned Friday afternoon to Rock Chalk Park. In tow was the gold medal he earned this summer in Rio de Janeiro as part of the United States’ men’s 4x400-meter relay team.
