Speaking up hasn’t always been part of Frank Mason’s personality.
It’s a fact that the Kansas junior point guard has known for a long time — and something he’s still trying to change.
“I would say months or years (ago), that wasn’t who I was. But now, it’s becoming a big role in my position,” Mason said Tuesday at Bob Chipman’s Basketball Camp. “It has to be done. I’ve accepted that challenge, and I’m getting better at it.”
Though Mason never had an official end-of-year meeting with coach Bill Self, he already knows what’s expected of him from earlier talks.
