Heading into today, Kansas football is a 34.5 point underdog to number six Oklahoma. That’s an extremely big spread, and ESPN seems to agree with the oddsmakers. The ESPN Gamecast currently gives Kansas only a 1.9% chance to beat Oklahoma.
1.9%. That’s not a very good chance of victory for the Kansas Jayhawks, but it isn’t unfair. Kansas hasn’t beat Oklahoma in over 20 years, not to mention the Jayhawks struggled last week against TCU. Overall, Kansas just isn’t a very good football team right now and it may take some time to get back to the Mangino era of success.
