Lynette Woodard has joined the women’s basketball coaching staff at Winthrop University, the school announced Monday.
Woodard played at North High and Kansas and is a two-time Olympian and a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. She scored 3,649 points at Kansas and is the career leader for women’s college basketball.
Woodard joins Kevin Cook, who worked with Woodard on the coaching staff at Kansas for four seasons, at the Rock Hill, S.C., school.
“It’s a new beginning and it gives me the opportunity to get reacquainted with Coach Cook,” Woodard said in a news release.
