LAWRENCE
Kansas coach Bill Self has received another short-term loan from a former KU coach.
Senior guard Julian DeBose, a 6-foot-4 guard, will join the Kansas roster for the World University Games in South Korea, where the Jayhawks will represent the United States in early July.
DeBose’s addition was necessary after sophomore Devonte’ Graham suffered a quad injury that will sideline him for the next month. DeBose, who will be a senior at Florida Gulf Coast University, averaged 11.6 points per game as a junior while playing for former KU assistant Joe Dooley.
DeBose arrived in Lawrence on Saturday, KU coach Bill Self said, and DeBose will return to Florida Gulf Coast after the tournament.
