LAWRENCE — Jory Collins has known Brandon Schneider for 15 years and considers him a coaching mentor and one of his best friends.
So on Monday afternoon, minutes after Schneider was hired as the new women’s basketball coach at Kansas, Collins was confident how this move was going to turn out for the Jayhawks.
“I already know how he’s going to do. That’s not a question. He’s going to win at some point,” the Emporia State women’s coach said. “He’ll get it going his direction and get his culture established there. That obviously takes a little bit of time, but once that happens, you’re going to be able to see a transformation of their program.
