Kansas Athletics’ goal for completing a $300 million renovation of Memorial Stadium is “to use a phased approach spanning 3-5 years,” according to an email athletic director Sheahon Zenger sent to donors Thursday evening.
In addition, Zenger said an indoor football practice facility would be first on the construction list. The improvement, according to Zenger, was something “we have needed for decades and will enhance our team’s ability to more effectively prepare for games.”
During a meet-and-greet with fans Wednesday in Kansas City, Zenger first announced the Memorial Stadium plans, saying renderings would be finished in three weeks and released to the public in September.
