KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas basketball team will carry a 14-game winning streak into next week’s NCAA Tournament, where it will undoubtedly enter as a top regional seed.
And, for the first time in three seasons, some hardware from the Big 12 Tournament.
Devonte’ Graham scored a career-high 27 points — connecting on five 3-pointers along the way — to guide the top-seeded Jayhawks to a 81-71 victory against West Virginia in the tournament’s championship game on Saturday at Sprint Center.
The No. 1 Jayhawks (30-4, 15-3 Big 12) can now claim a regular-season Big 12 crown — their 12th straight — and a 10th overall postseason league tourney title in the 20-year history of the conference.
